Platform Details & Review

Circle defines itself as an “all-in-one community platform for creators and brands.” Creators and influencers who want to monetize the content and experiences choose Circle communities so they can drive paid subscriptions and memberships as part of their community building.

  • Teachable integration—Since Circle was the brainchild of Teachable employees, one of the main uses is building e-learning communities. This integration is available on all paid plans for Circle and Teachable.
  • Unlimited in-person and virtual events—Create a space for each event type and let members RSVP with one click.
  • Access levels and monetization—Gate or ungate different areas of your community, collect subscription fees, accept payments, and offer upsells and trials.

  • Amazing interface with different settings for unlimited customization
  • Great analytics
  • Easily add multiple community managers as your support team

  • Relatively expensive compared to alternatives
  • Lacks some functionality if your goal is to make a course
  • Long load time on video uploads

API Intergration is bad.

My Circle integration is at an impasse, just a couple months in. Circle support give me implausible excuses for serious DX issues with their API, and no estimates or fixes for acknowledged API errors. To their credit, they have acknowledged that I must be frustrated!

Good Product.

I couldn't be more excited to see Circle here on Product Hunt. I've been using the platform while in beta for the past few months and couldn't be more impressed. I evaluated FB Groups, Slack, Mighty Networks, Tribe, etc. to be a the potential home for my community. I'm soooooo glad I went with Circle. Incredible platform with people who value quality product and a thoughtful UX. Pure gold.
