Mighty Networks vs Podia
Is Mighty Networks Better than Podia?
You’ve heard of these two platforms for communities, but is Mighty Networks better than Podia? Let’s find out.
Mighty Networks vs Podia: The judgement criteria
What features will you get?
Podia was originally launched without the option to create a community. But they eventually added it in. The concept is very similar to forums like Reddit. There are a variety of topics, and you can create posts under each. It allows you to upload videos in each post too. Although, when you compare it to Mighty Networks, it doesn’t quite cut it.
Mighty has comparatively more features – group messaging capabilities, ability to conduct events, polls and Q&A discussion boards. Members can also access a customized tailored activity feed to follow community activities.
How do you access the community?
Mighty Networks has responsive mobile apps for both Android and iOS. So, it doesn’t matter which device your community members are using. You can also get your own branded mobile app with another of their offerings, MightyPro. But it’s quite heavy on the pocket at around ~$30,000/year.
On the other hand, Podia doesn’t have an app and can only be accessed through a website browser. You can’t add your own branding to the platform either, which means your community will be living on rented land. Podia provides three membership options -
> Mover ($39/month)
> Shaker ($89/month)
> Earthquaker ($199/month)
Can you livestream?
Podia doesn’t allow community members to live stream – they can only pre-record their videos and post them. However, Mighty Networks has a live streaming option, which means users can upload and broadcast video content in real time. This comes in handy for educators and content creators, since they can broadcast their video and engage their target audience.

The difference is in our DNA
We're content creators, teachers AND community builders.
And, we know how everything ties together to make a business.
We've been teaching online since 2018. We ran one of the world's largest educational communities from 2019-2021 and scaled to $500,000 revenue by selling cohort-based courses. We kept hopping from one software to another because the experience of actually using all available software is bad.
This led us to build Scenes - an all-in-one platform to run your courses, cohorts, webinars, events, voice chat rooms, etc. - on mobile & web (100% white-labeled).
